Similar but a little different.
Are you a Citizen (majority)?
Or a Wolf (minority)?
Word Wolf is a hidden-role party game where each player receives a topic that's almost the same but slightly different. Through discussion, you must find the Wolves — the minority players who hold a different topic.
You don't know whether you're a Citizen or a Wolf yourself. Through conversation, you have to guess what topic the other players have while making sure they can't figure out yours.
Dokopa has over 1,400 topic pairs built in, ready to play instantly. You couldn't run out even playing for three days straight.
Citizens and Wolves get prompts that are "similar but slightly different," like these.
Each player sees their assigned topic. There are two topics — one for the Citizens (majority), one for the Wolves (minority) — but you don't know which you have. Guess what topic the others have while you discuss, and try to figure out who's the Wolf.
When the discussion ends, everyone votes simultaneously for who they think is a Wolf. You can't vote for yourself. Wolves should vote for whoever else is likely to be targeted, to survive.
If the most-voted player is a Wolf, the Citizens win. If they fail to vote out a Wolf, all Citizens lose. In case of a tie, the game goes into an extra round.
If enabled in settings, a Wolf who gets voted out still has one last chance. The Wolf guesses the Citizens' topic — if correct, the Wolves win by reversal. Recommended off for beginners, on once you're used to the game.
Dokopa offers fine-grained rule customization.
These settings are a good place to start.
Citizens win if they vote out a Wolf. Wolves win if they keep their identity hidden.
Players split into Citizens (majority) and Wolves (minority); each side gets a similar but different topic
You don't know whether your own topic is the Citizen or Wolf one
During discussion, sense the mismatch and identify the Wolves
Saying the topic word directly or asking obvious questions is forbidden
You can't vote for yourself — vote for whoever you suspect is a Wolf
Try to guess the Citizens' topic and act like the majority
Ask questions like "Have you ever tried this?" to get more info
When asked a question, watch how others react before committing to an answer
Avoid being too specific early on — drop hints about your topic gradually
Listen carefully to others to notice the mismatch in topics
If you're a Wolf, flexibility — adapting to others' answers — is the key to survival
