An ancient Roman board-game classic — an evolved tic-tac-toe
The "Ancient Roman classic" arrives on Dokopa! A strategic board game that's like an evolved tic-tac-toe — simple but with deep strategy and quick resolution.\n\nSwitch between "Nine" and "Twelve" boards. Perfect as an intellectual game for friends or family.
Pick board size and piece count. Normal (Nine): 9 pieces each — the standard. Large (Twelve): 12 pieces each — more complex play.
Decide first (white) and second (black).
The game has 3 phases.
■ Phase 1: Placement
·Players alternate placing pieces on empty points until both run out
·Form a "mill" (3 in a row) to remove an opponent's piece (What's a "mill"?)
·3 of your pieces in a straight line — vertical, horizontal, or diagonal
·You then choose 1 opponent piece to remove
■ Phase 2: Movement
·After placement, alternate moving one of your pieces to an adjacent empty point
■ Phase 3: Flying
·When you're down to 3 pieces, you escape the "adjacent only" rule
·You can fly to any empty point — your comeback chance
Win when either:
1. You reduce the opponent's pieces to 2
2. The opponent can't make a move
Build mills to chip away at your opponent
You can break a mill on one turn and re-form it the next — repeating to capture pieces over and over
