About Mahjong

● 赤ドラ (Aka Dora): 4-player 0/3/4 tiles, 3-player 0/2 tiles

● 飜縛り (Han Minimum): 1 / 2 / 4 han

RULES

Shared Base Rules

① Progression, Dealer, End

● 連荘 (Renchan): dealer continues on tenpai; ryūkyoku passes the dealership
● Final dealer: ends if leader meets the target, continues if not
● Sudden death: continues past final round if leader is below target; ends instantly when someone reaches it
● Abortive draws: 九種九牌 (Kyūshu Kyūhai), four reach, four kan, four winds (renchan)
● Tobi end: enabled

② 立直 (Reach), 槓 (Kan), Actions

● 立直 (Reach): 1,000+ points and self-draw turns remaining
● フリテン (Furiten) / karaten reach allowed (no single 4-tile wait)
● After reach: ankan allowed only if wait is unchanged; okurikan not allowed
● Missing a winning tile after reach: furiten thereafter
● 槓 (Kan): kan dora and ura present (ankan flips immediately; min/added kan flips after)
● 5th kan not allowed
● 本場 (Honba) / deposits: upstream-take; double / triple ron allowed

③ Scoring, Yaku, 責任払い (Pao)

● 後付け (Atozuke): allowed
● Nagashi mangan: allowed
● Local yaku: double reach only
● Han minimum: dora doesn't count
● 満貫 (Mangan) threshold: 4 han at 40+ fu / 3 han at 70+ fu
● Fu bonuses: +4 for double-wind pair, +2 for tsumo on 嶺上開花 (Rinshan)
● 役満 (Yakuman): multiple yakuman allowed; double yakuman = 四暗刻単騎 (Suuankō Tanki), daisuushi, junsei chūren, kokushi 13-wait
● 責任払い (Pao): daisangen and daisuushi (full payment on tsumo / half each on ron)
● Point shortage: negative scores accumulated until end-of-round settlement

● Return: 25,000. Uma: 5-15
● Dead wall: 4 tiles

● Starting points: 35,000. Target: 40,000
● Return: 35,000. Uma: 15-0-15
● 吃 (Chi) not allowed
● Unused tiles: 2-man through 8-man
● Dead wall: 8 tiles
● Drawing a North tile cancels ippatsu, double reach, and 九種九牌 (Kyūshu Kyūhai) judgments
● Drawn North isn't a discard — no furiten. If you use North in a meld, it counts as a guest wind
● Chankan on drawn North allowed (but it doesn't count as a yaku)
